Intervention Overview

This intervention is particularly suitable for all and can be tailored to individual and group needs and profiles.
NeuroRecollection Photography is a creative and reflective intervention that uses personal photographs, memories, and visual storytelling to support self-expression, identity exploration, and wellbeing. Participants are invited to bring photographs that represent meaningful moments, experiences, people, places, or milestones from their lives. These images become the foundation for the creation of a personal recollection piece, such as a collage, mixed-media artwork, digital composition, or other visual representation.
Through a combination of guided reflection, creative discussion, and practical art-making activities, participants are encouraged to consider the significance of their chosen images and the stories they tell about their experiences, values, and identity. The intervention provides a supportive environment in which participants can explore personal memories at their own pace, selecting and arranging images in ways that are meaningful to them.
The creative process encourages participants to identify themes, connections, and achievements within their life experiences while developing confidence in their ability to communicate through visual media. Opportunities for optional sharing and discussion can further support self-understanding, social connection, and appreciation of diverse experiences and perspectives.
By combining photography, memory work, and creative expression, the intervention aims to provide an engaging and empowering experience that fosters reflection, celebrates personal history, and supports the development of self-awareness and neurodiverse identity. The completed recollection piece serves as a tangible and meaningful representation of the participant's experiences, achievements, and unique perspective.
